OC – third party liability insurance for motor vehicle owners

Third party liability insurance for damages that occur in relation to the movement of motor vehicles is a mandatory insurance for owners of such vehicles.


The scope of the insurance is defined in the Law on Mandatory Insurance, the Insurance Guarantee Fund and the Polish Motor Insurers' Bureau of 22 May 2003.

Third party liability insurance remains in force on the territory of Poland and Andora, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, the Netherlands, Ireland, Island, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Germany, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Sweden, Hungary, United Kingdom and Italy.

If you are travelling to a country other than the ones listed above, you should have the Green Card (check the list of countries belonging to the Green Card system). Compensa adds the Green Card free of charge  to the third party liability insurance (on request).
